A specialist Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation for Tourism, Hospitality & Culinary programmes is seeking a Learning and Development Executive on either a full or part time basis work as part of a team to assist in the associated responsibilities of developing, designing and assessing hospitality and tourism qualifications as well as manage the assessment and marking processes for the qualifications.
As someone who has hospitality industry experience to a junior or mid management level, and has had experience delivering training within a hotel or hospitality business you will be involved in the mideration of qualifications including providing written feedback to the team of exam markers and entre assessors, and the produce a summary report for the Academic Director.
You will also work with the Academic Director to ensure that qualifications are contemporary, fit for purpose and meet the needs of industry and regulatory requirements as well as develop assessments that appropriately assess the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the modules within a qualification to ensure fairness and consistency with academic standards over time and meet regulatory requirements.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills in order to maintain assessment and results records, ensure qualification documents are current and fit for purpose and periodically write articles for the website and newsletter on course delivery, exam techniques and assignment preparation. You will also act as a source of advise for centres/colleges on qualifications, and their delivery and assessment and work closely with a small but happy internal team.
