Honorary Treasurer: OpenUp Music

OpenUp Music are looking for an experienced person to act on our Board as the charity's Honorary Treasurer.
OpenUp Music is an award-winning charity delivering ambitious, national programmes to raise standards in music education for young disabled people. Our vision is a world where orchestras are open to everyone. Our mission is to make orchestras accessible to young disabled people.

We are at an exciting stage in our development and we're seeking experienced, talented and committed people to join an established Board of Trustees. As a Trustee you will have the opportunity to support and steer the strategic vision for an exciting and innovative organisation.

Trustee recruitment:
OpenUp Music are committed to achieving majority disabled representation on our Board by 2020 and particularly welcome applications from members of the disabled community.

We need a strategic thinker with a track record in financial leadership who will maintain an overview of our activities, ensuring that we use our resources effectively to achieve our aims. Ideally, the person appointed will have an understanding of arts funding, a commitment to equality of opportunity, as well as a passion for music.
This is an unpaid trustee role, with reasonable expense costs covered. Appointments are for three years, in the first instance.

For further enquiries or to receive a Trustee Recruitment Pack, please contact the CEO, Barry Farrimond on barry@openupmusic.org

Expressions of interest in becoming a Trustee should be sent, along with a summary CV, to helen@openupmusic.org by Friday 11th May.
