Honorary Secretary: OpenUp Music

OpenUp Music are looking for an experienced person to act on our Board as the charity's Honorary Secretary.
OpenUp Music is an award-winning charity delivering ambitious, national programmes to raise standards in music education for young disabled people. Our vision is a world where orchestras are open to everyone. Our mission is to make orchestras accessible to young disabled people.

We are at an exciting stage in our development and we're seeking experienced, talented and committed people to join an established Board of Trustees. As a Trustee you will have the opportunity to support and steer the strategic vision for an exciting and innovative organisation.

Trustee recruitment:
OpenUp Music are committed to achieving majority disabled representation on our Board by 2020 and particularly welcome applications from members of the disabled community.

Ideally, the person appointed will have some understanding of the arts sector, a commitment to equality of opportunity, as well as a passion for music. However, our main requirement is an ability to ensure the smooth running of the Board through first-rate administrative abilities.

This is an unpaid trustee role, with reasonable expense costs covered. Appointments are for three years, in the first instance.

For further enquiries or to receive a Trustee Recruitment Pack, please contact the CEO, Barry Farrimond on barry@openupmusic.org

Expressions of interest in becoming a Trustee should be sent, along with a summary CV, to helen@openupmusic.org by Friday 11th May.
