Our client are looking for a Head of Standards Policy and Assurance, who can ensure the credibility of the standards, systems and processes that are critical to their success. You'll lead the team responsible for managing the policy development process to ensure that standards and internal and external systems meet the requirements of international norms, are internationally recognised as being best in class, and that the third-party certification and the accreditation system run smoothly and effectively. This is a critical role within the Science and Standards team. It is responsible for maintenance of all standard-related documentation, policy development, training and assurance mechanisms.
You will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual who will bring significant proven and relevant experience at a senior level in standard setting, third party assurance systems and policy development within a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience with stakeholder consultation and engagement, standard setting and assurance, knowledge of an environment sustainability organisation and its systems and supply chains will be an advantage.

Through their internationally-recognised certification and ecolabeling programme well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the market place, through the leadership of their partners. Critically, other fisheries are incentivised to improve their performance to meet the growing demand for certified sustainable and traceable seafood choice. Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing 14% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the organisation's programme and over 1200 documented improvements to the way our oceans are being fished have been recorded. Sustainability certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.
