A leading Higher Education organisation are looking to recruit a Head of Research Contracts.
This is a FTC 18-months position paying £55,474 to £63,671 per annum, plus generous benefits package including 44 days holiday and excellent pension scheme.
The Head of Research Contracts will take a leading role in the development of an efficient support service for the management of research contracts. You will lead a team of staff who are responsible for reviewing and negotiating research contracts with funders, collaborators and philanthropic donors. The Head of Research Contracts will develop robust processes for the agreement of contracts, set standards for service delivery within the team ensuring the delivery of an excellent service to academic and professional staff across the University.
To be successful in the role you will have extensive experience in the management of research contracts within a Higher Education setting. You will have experience of applying knowledge of associated research contracts and clinical trial issues such as costs, governance, intellectual property, publication, confidentiality, VAT, indemnities, liabilities etc. and issues surrounding the market place. You will have strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage workload allocation, and develop and motivate staff to deliver an excellent service.
