TPP have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service within a homeless charity. They are recruiting a Head of rapid rehousing services.

This role will require you to be a strong project manager, strong partnership skills, with a good financial head. You will be good at building internal relationships, well organised and strong at making decisions. This is a stand alone role where you will be required to deliver a service. Initially you would be managing 1 person but this will grow.
The purpose of this role is to develop, lead and ensure the effective delivery of rapid rehousing services in London. These will include a pan-London housing-procurement service for members of the charity in Brent, Croydon and east/central London. and there housing first teams, offering long term rough sleepers and the charity's at Christmas guests a tailored service to help them leave homelessness for good.
Some of the job responsibilities will be:
In conjunction with the Director of Operations and the Best Practice team, develop the Rapid Rehousing business plan and ensure its effective implementation
Lead, manage and coach your managers and direct reports to ensure they achieve and maintain the required standards in all aspects of their roles and are able to develop themselves; and through them assure the wider team is supported, thrives and develops to the benefit of our members
Prioritise resources and ensure the effective management of budgets across your teams in partnership with your local managers and the Director of Operations.
Take overall responsibility for health and safety and safeguarding processes in your services, to ensure the safety of clients, staff, volunteers and partners.
Develop and implement a Housing First model, ensuring high fidelity.
Work with the Director of Operations to set and implement quality standards and processes as required, ensuring all staff understand and adhere to required standards and procedures.
Develop and sustain positive and effective strategic and operational partnerships that benefit the charities members and clients of Housing First services in the areas in which clients live
Work on own initiative and with the appropriate head office teams to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in relevant local authorities. To maximise the effectiveness and impact of our influencing work and bring about improvements in systems and services that will help end homelessness.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have worked at a senior level in a relevant sector e.g. homelessness, adult social care, mental health.
Knowledge of Housing First service models and the ability to ensure the delivery of a service which attains high fidelity to the Housing First evidence base.
An understanding of housing-led and rapid rehousing service approaches, including awareness of best practice in accessing private rented sector and social housing for homeless people on low incomes
Ability to work autonomously through a remote management relationship.
Willingness and ability to work flexibly, including over the Christmas period
Able to think strategically and plan service delivery and resource allocation accordingly.
