Head of Quality Assurance

An arts based international educational charity and membership association based in the heart of London are recruiting for a Head of Quality Assurance on a permanent basis. With 6000 members in over 55 countries, they conduct over 120,000 examinations each year and were recently recognised by Ofqual as one of the top 20 largest awarding organisations in England.

As the Head of Quality Assurance you will oversee the Quality Assurance department and ensure the certification of qualifications, assessment activities and approval of Centres meets the relevant quality, regulatory and service standards. Reporting directly into the Director of Examinations you will provide support in ensuring the regulatory compliance of the organisation.

In addition to this, the Head of Quality Assurance will also oversee the operational management of the department to ensure the timely and efficient processing of results and certifications in compliance with regulatory requirements, including the maintenance of accurate data and records. You will also lead, manage, develop and motivate the staff within the department and lead the continuous review of policies, processes and procedures.

You will have a thorough understanding of the UK qualifications frameworks and significant experience of working within a quality assurance function of a regulated awarding organisation in a management role. As well as an up to date knowledge of Ofqual General Conditions of Regulation, you have experience of effective performance and staff/ resource management strategies. It would be an added bonus if you had experience of working with overseas qualification regulators but not necessary for this role.

This is a full-time role, currently remote, which will likely be a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days in their London office and the rest from home. The organisation is a great place to work with some great benefits, including 37 days of annual leave and a great employee assistance programme.
