A specialist professional body which is part of a worldwide network of member societies are recruiting for a Head of Qualifications, a new role which will lead the development and management of new and existing qualifications, explore strategic opportunities for qualification development, and ensure regulatory Ofqual compliance is maintained.
Based in the heart of the City of London, you will combine strategic vision with excellent project management, communication and relationship building skills in order to manage a team of four in key areas such as qualification development, piloting and implementing new digital areas such as a delivery platform and credentialing system, the maintenance of existing qualifications and assessments and the development and delivery of a high class customer service approach.
Having excellent stakeholder engagement skills you will work with committees, external suppliers, members, regulators, industry professionals and experts and volunteers and consultants. You will be someone who has experience of dealing with candidates and has knowledge and experience of ensuring an excellent customer service approach.
Ideally coming from an awarding background where you will have experience of the full qualification development lifecycle as well as Ofqual conditions, including the management of an Ofqual annual submission and audit, you will work closely with the director to enhance internal processes and procedures.
You will also have experience of delivering computer based examinations and managing test centre partners as well as working with the government apprenticeship schemes.
This role is perfect for someone who is flexible and laid back, but also someone who can take the initiative, and have the passion and drive to move things forward.
You will play an instrumental strategic role in the organisation, but due to the size of the team and organisation you will also be expected to still remain hands on with processes such as dealing with exam candidates, complaints and queries as well as carrying out market research, standard setting and assessments. However one of the positives of it's size is that the organisation prides itself on having open conversations around facilitating and supporting employees' future plans and aspirations.
