Are you a leader who can inspire and influence at all levels?

Do you have experience of managing a strategic agenda and have experience of working in, or with, the IT industry, membership organisations and/or not-for-profit organisations?

If you have strong technical savviness and a good awareness of existing and emerging technologies, digital cultures and are a problem solver with an eye for detail, this role could be the perfect new start to 2017.

The Head of Public Affairs will play a pivotal role in this memberships organisation’s complex and challenging activity across a wide array of public affairs topics. You will act as an external figurehead representing the organisation across multiple stakeholder groups. You will inspire creativity and flexibility in the management of people and resources, whilst building a public affairs network which will maximise influence and impact.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an external figurehead across multiple stakeholder groups; employers, customers, academia, government and the wider IT community.
  • Proposing the strategic approach to Public Affairs activity as well as planning and executing public affairs activities.
  • Deputising for executive team members across a range of programmes - as well as creating and incubating new opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining a public affairs network across programmes to maximise influence and impact.
