A dynamic, innovative, top 20 university are looking to recruit a Head of Planning paying £49,149, increasing to £56,950.
This is a brand new role as a result of continued growth within the university, offering an exciting chance to join a team working at the centre of the University, with a genuine opportunity to make a difference to long-term institutional policy and planning.
Joining the Planning, Governance and Compliance directorate, the Head of Planning has responsibility for managing and delivering a range of university-wide strategic activities carried out by the Planning Team and providing expert professional support to ensure that senior University managers are supported by high-quality data and planning processes. You will play a key role in promoting how strategic decisions are made and achievements are fostered at the university. You will manage interactions with a range of HE sector bodies and will ensure that the University has in place appropriate systems for compiling a suite of statutory and other returns. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will contribute to policy development and to the planning process via the provision of analysis, scenario planning and recommendations.
To be successful in the role you will be an experienced planning professional with a background in higher education and a commitment to adding value to service delivery. You will have proven experience of successfully managing a team in a rapidly moving, deadline-driven environment and of using your excellent communication skills (oral written and interpersonal) to establish productive relationships at every level.
