This small international child health charity have enjoyed enormous success recently with a few key (and high profile) partners. They are looking to build on this success by bringing in a Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to secure new business and shape the future success of fundraising. As a team, their funding is equally split and they aren't reliant in any one area, and are therefore open to the expertise of the income Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships - as long as they can show a business case for the charity's growth in that area - whether it's corporate and MD, trusts or events.
To begin with, you will set out your strategy and then personally carry it out, being the face of the charity at networking events as well as doing the full sales process with each prospect. Once you have built your pipeline or got some successes under your belt, the budget will grow and you will be able to recruit. They see this being a team, not a solo project. They have a great selection of trustees who are able to open their address books (most of their current major donor success is due to their trustees, for example).
We are looking for someone with experience of winning business and showing significant income growth in either major donor, corporate, trusts or events (ideally two of those four); you will be familiar with 6-figure wins; you will be a strong leader but able and willing to get your hands dirty too. This is a small charity where everyone mucks in. Inernational experience is not essential but may be an advantage.
