TPP is currently partnering exclusively with The Charity for Civil Servants who are looking to hire a new Head of Marketing. The role is permanent, with a salary bracket of £50k - £52k. The organisation is based in Cheam, Surrey but welcomes applicants who wish to work remotely, permanently.

The Organisation

You will be joining a well-established and financially stable charity which has serious growth plans. The Charity provides a range of support to present and former civil servants including their financial dependants - services are provided to assist with financial issues, mental health, disability, relationships, and bereavement.

The Role

Within this brand-new role, you can look forward to joining the Charity during a shift towards a digital first approach to their marketing and communications strategy. You will be responsible for leading the marketing communications function and working to ensure that it reaches out to their potential audience of 3.2 million current and ex civil service workers. Leading a team of 7 in total, with 3 direct reports, you can look forward to providing the strategic direction for the Charity's marketing, communications, and brand. You will be playing a crucial role in enhancing the organisation's existing reputation as a trusted partner to the civil service, as well as reaching out to new audiences within the service itself.

You will lead the team to produce and deliver their annual programme of integrated marketing and communication activities as well as providing strategic communications advice to members of the senior leadership team. You will play a key role in driving digital into all activities for the Charity, including developing on their webinar and digital offerings. You will lead the team to enhance their digital presence and be able to shape the Charity's digital strategy. Further to this, you will lead the wider communications function, including more traditional communications channels.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly experienced, senior marketing and communications professional. You will have a strong experience in devising and delivering successful, integrated marketing and communications strategies. You will also have a strong track record in planning and delivering multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns. You will have strong experience within digital marketing and communications, and have a track record of taking a 'digital first' approach. You will also have strong line management experience, strong project management, and budget management experience.
