A specialist membership body which works across one of the UK's largest and growing industries is recruiting for a Head of Institute and Learning to oversee the development and realisation of a professional institute for individuals within the sector to offer ongoing training and professional development and to maintain value for members and enhance use of digital and blended learning tools.

As the Head of Institute & Learning, you will be responsible for the continued delivery of the required revenue and volumes of all learning products. This role is responsible for the review of existing learning products to ensure they remain fit for purpose, relevant to the audiences and provide agreed ROI. You will therefore have proven experience of running a successful training or learning function including the capability of designing learning courses and workshops or training events, plus the ability to carry out accurate and effective training needs analysis for the sector and members.

Ideally coming from the membership sector, you will develop the organisation strategy and proactively manage the design and implementation of this. You will therefore be a tactician as well as a strategist and drive change and embrace opportunities whilst remaining focused on the needs of the organisation and members.

You will be required to represent the parent organisation as well as the Institute through public speaking at external events, whilst also building relationships with all stakeholders and role model the values and behaviours internally and externally.

Although currently there is no line management responsibilities, however you will work in a matrix management style across other teams in the parent organisation and this may change with the development of the role.

This role would be ideal for someone who has the drive to progress a role and remit, someone who can realise change and project manage this in a balanced and methodical manner, and someone who is happy to fulfil day to day requirements such as answering member and colleague queries whilst also looking at senior strategic plans and implementing these directly.

In return you will get to work for an output driven organisation where working from home and flexible working arrangements are as standard, and which offers some great benefits and bonuses.
