TPP are recruiting a Head of Innovation and Partnerships - Health services. This charity deliver services across London and surrounding regions. There service includes from giving someone a home, to helping them to get the right mental health support. They support people at the moment of crisis and enable them to build a life beyond a crisis.
Main Purpose of role:
To drive innovation to support our work in integrated health and care delivery, and progress opportunities to build new partnerships and grow and diversify income. This role will take ideas from inception to the point of delivery, working as part of business development and with operational and performance teams, and take a leading role in external facing engagement to bring new players and new investment on board to our work on physical and mental health service delivery.
Some of the key responsibilities:
To lead the development of new projects and approaches to support people with physical and mental wellbeing needs with our operational team
To proactively scan the environment for gaps and opportunities to create new interventions to underpin the recovery of our service users
To convene and chair a project steering group, made up of colleagues from business development, operations, performance and policy, in order to analyse emerging opportunities, construct build and shape new projects
To support the delivery of health strategy, including key performance indicators, experience and outcome measures
To act as a bridge between the current operational delivery and external opportunities which emerge from the policy and partnership environment
To contribute to business development net new income and retention. These primarily relate to contracts with local authorities, the NHS and grant proposals
To establish and develop networks linking with local health and social care agencies
To act as an ambassador for the health and social care stakeholders.
To work with the development team to translate our work into key new business, including cases for support, proposals and case studies
Lead on high quality bid writing and applications in line with organisational requirements; ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met
Build a short/medium/long term pipeline of income opportunities which can, over time, diversify our income associated with our health offer
Attend key meetings
Organise, with the operational team, events which highlight insight and expertise and place the charity alongside other key player, including CCGs, GP Federations, NHS acute and mental health trusts, regional and national health bodies
Maintain a dialogue with key stakeholders and lead horizon and market scanning to identify new ideas and opportunities to follow up
A track record of developing new business from inception to delivery using a collaborative approach
Experience of driving strong income growth via different channels including at least one of the following: local authorities/NHS Trusts, CCGs, GP Federations / grant giving institutions
Natural ability to create and nurture new, high-value strategic partnerships
A proven strategic thinker, with the ability to develop and implement strategy and formulate operational plans including KPIs
Strong influencing and communication skills (both written and spoken), comfortable operating in a range of environments and across levels of seniority
Good commercial acumen with experience of setting and managing budgets, and delivering against targets
A broad understanding of the policy, operational and economic and financial environment for the charity sector
Desirable: Experience of developing and/or managing services for vulnerable people
Desirable: Experience of co-production and recovery approaches, desirable
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
