I am very proud to have the opportunity to work with a unique local Cancer Charity in Lancashire. They strive to help families affected by cancer and other life limiting conditions living in the local area. With over 30 years of experience, this inspirational charity has helped over 25,000 local people affected by cancer and other life limiting conditions.
This Charity has a forward-thinking board of trustees who put fundraising at the heart of the charity and an innovative CEO who is passionate about the charity. The team are full of life and are committed to the charity and the values of the organisation.
Whilst no two days are ever the same, the team are always committed to the charity’s vision, that local people of all ages affected by the impact of cancer and other life limiting conditions, can access and receive free professional help and support whenever they need it.
So what’s the role?
We are looking for a leader, who can drive forward all fundraising activities at the charity. As the Head of Income Generation, you will be part of the charity’s senior manager team and will therefore need to have excellent communication and project management skills. Day to day you will use your extensive fundraising skills to create and implement a sound income generating strategy.
What do you need?
Ideally your fundraising strengths will lie in Major Donor, Corporate and Legacy income as this will be you main fundraising responsibility. You also will need a strong understand of trusts, community and events fundraising to manage the team affectively. You will need to be a strong manager who can help the team develop and become the best they can be. Your relationship skills will be second to none as you will build and grown valuable internal and external relationships. It will be your responsibility to grow the overall income of the charity to allow them to continue to provide this much needed service.

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
Location: Lancaster, Slynedales, Lakes Centre and Kendal
Hours: 37.5 hours per week or 30 hours per week.
