You'll be managing a fantastic HR team of 5 and working from their London Headquarters which is in the heart of Battersea. .You'll be reporting directly into the Director of Finance & Operations and working closely with the Senior Management Team.
This dynamic organisation has been established for nearly 100 years and have offices in 36 countries around the world. They believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to learn to dance. They currently have over 13,000 members across 89 countries who support the organisation every year. Along with the members they have over 1,000 students in full or part time teacher programmes.
The main purpose of this significant role is to strategically lead the HR team and be the focal point for all generalist HR matters. You'll look to develop the current HR team and help them grow in their respective roles. The Head of HR will propose the HR budget, work and benchmark salaries, and rewards in line with the sector.
Along with the above, you'll be working with global Managers and Directors to create and update appropriate policies, ensuring they meet the requirements of each office. You'll be working closely with the Head of and managers to help with ER issues, ensuring they are dealt with correctly.
Finally, an important part of the role is safeguarding. The Head of HR will be on several committees including safeguarding, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Health & Safety, Heads of Department, New Building Steering Group, and Information Management Committee.
To be a success and make this role your own you need to have ideally worked in the Arts or Higher Education, with excellent people skills.
