A charity leading in the delivery of expert-led financial education programmes to young people in schools and youth organisations has a brand-new position for a Head of Evaluation to lead the Evaluation team and hold overall responsibility for the charity's evaluation activities. This is a full-time permanent role offering flexible hybrid working arrangements.

As the Head of Evaluation, you will provide a strategic and day-to-day function in delivering and improving the charity's evaluation activities, which play a significant part in the charity's success. You will lead core ongoing evaluation activities and manage defined evaluation & research projects. The projects can include conducting significant research studies at scale using quantitative and qualitative methods to continuously improve the charity's work. Multiple evaluations, impact evaluation of programmes, process evaluation and insight studies to further understand what works and where the charity can adapt and improve.

You will join and lead a team of three, including yourself, an Evaluation Manager, and an Evaluation Assistant. You will work collaboratively with external evaluation consultants and oversee the production of research studies in-house.

The charity has a strong organisation-wide vision, therefore your remit will also include reviewing, defining, and delivering the accompanying vision for evaluation. You will provide a central coordination role internally and represent the charity's evaluation & research activities externally.

You will have the following skills and experience:
* Strong experience leading evaluation projects.
* Ability to demonstrate a wide understanding of evaluation & research and be able to relate this to the charity's future direction.
* A detailed understanding of a range evaluation & research methods. If specialising in one area, a commitment to upskilling in others.
* Experience working across internal teams to deliver evaluation activities and support others to learn from evaluation work.
* Previous leadership/project leading experience. The ability to lead, support and motivate an internal team to meet objectives.
* Strong presentation skills and ability to provide front of house representation.
* Strong data management skills - both quantitively and qualitatively.
