An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a mission-driven global organisation that focuses on obesity as Head of Education & Capacity Building. This is a new and critical role that will serve to deliver on the continued development of implementation of the organisations work- streams and projects, including digital learning and educational events.
This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week and is based within Central London. This role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, working 3 days at home 2 days in office. The salary is £42,000 - £47,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. As the Head of Education & Capacity Building you will work closely with a small dynamic, passionate friendly team and actively manage continued growth with an emphasis on ensuring sustainability and efficient resourcing, while also developing other capacity building opportunities.
You will oversee and drive forward the next phase of SCOPE (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education) including modules, accreditation, exam, fellowship, leadership programme and schools and develop a sustainable business model and build relationships and funding opportunities with prospective funders - existing and new.
This role will be suited to someone who has had at least 4 years' experience working in a similar role, with demonstratable knowledge and expertise. You will have project management expertise and a proactive and entrepreneurial approach. The successful candidate should be adaptable and willing to support the delivery of work across the organisation's portfolio, as required and be interested in building a career in global health or charity health sector.
Ideally the person will have previous experience in a medical/health organisation or association background but not essential.
