This is a crucial new role in this charity, responsible for delivering the direct marketing work across Europe and the UK. The role will line manage up to 5, with overall team of 9. The income target is £30m with expenditure of £10m.

Key responsibilities:
*To implement the DM strategy and to develop and manage an integrated programme of donor acquisition and retention as well as legacy
*Management of expenditure and income budgets including regular forecasting
*Line manage a team, including remotely managing a team in Italy
*Oversee international agency relationships
*To work with the fundraising analysis team to commission research, data analysis and profiling

Essential criteria:
*Proven experience of a 'test and learn' approach to DM programmes
*Extensive experience of direct marketing to individuals with a proven track record of success
*Experience of working in a global marketing environment
*Excellent direct marketing technical experience
*List buying - including profiling, negotiating contracts, strong knowledge of production techniques, formats and quality control
*Excellent knowledge of testing segmentation
*Strong analytical skills
*Proven ability to think strategically and translate concepts into effective action plans
