The TPP Fundraising and Development team are working with a fast growing youth charity, based in Central London, who require a Head of Development for a 12 month maternity cover contract. It is anticipated that the maternity cover will be for 6 months, allowing for ample handover and close working with the existing Head of Development either side of the maternity leave.
In this role, you will lead a motivated and high-performing team (7 people) that is focused on securing funding from Government bodies, corporates, trusts, high net worth individuals and events. You will work closely with the existing Head of Development, the Director of Development, the Chief Executive and other Departmental Directors, and support the development and implementation of the organisational fundraising strategy. You will also lead on new business and manage a portfolio of high level prospects from identification to solicitation and stewardship.
This is a hands on management role that would suit a fundraising professional with extensive leadership experience, and with a strong track record of securing funding from one or more of the following income streams: corporates, trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals. You will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written skills, and ideally a working knowledge of salesforce.
