An opportunity has arisen to join a leading disability charity as Head of Community and Events. This charity delivers disability services, community projects and education and training resources, which promotes inclusion and wellbeing. This is an exciting time for the charity as they are investing substantially in the fundraising team and aspires to increase voluntary income by 50% over the next four years.
Purpose of the Role
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the community and events fundraising strategy. This includes an already successful portfolio of products and events (special and challenge). You will constantly review and evaluate this portfolio, to establish criteria for new events and look at opportunities to cross sell to corporate and other audiences. You will manage and review the performance of the newly formed team of 4 regional community Fundraising Officers, with the aim to expand.
You will have a significant track record in community fundraising as this is a key focus for the charity. You will have experience managing events which may include a range of challenge and special events. You will have line management, volunteering management and budgeting experience within a fundraising context. Finally, you will have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.
You will receive a salary of £42,000 to £45,000. *You will be able to work from home, but it is ideally expected that you work one day a week from the London office or be meeting with your regional team. You will be entitled to 25 days annual leave, flexitime, training and development opportunities with the IoF and employee assistance programme. You will be working in a brand new beautiful modern office, which features a gym within the building, bicycle storage, weekly yoga classes and a fantastic coffee machine!
