I am working with an inspiring national children's charity on an exciting Interim Head of Colleague Experience position. This fixed term contract role is for 6-9 months and directly reports into the CEO. The main purpose of this interim position is to bring an organisational focus to the way the charity does things and to lead on keeping everyone connected to defining, shaping and living the culture that the charity wants to be. Through working closely with colleagues, you will manage any challenges and create a successful roadmap that will allow staff to understand and live the new culture.

The charities new brand and strategy will allow them to be an exemplar within the sector. It is important to them that the external face of the charity and internal experience of working at the charity are aligned and staff can live and breathe the new behaviours that the charity wants to champion.

This is an auspicious time to join the charity as they embark on their new journey implementing their new cultural change. The successful candidate will shape the cultural strategy that will drive improvement across the organisation by listening, coaching, leading and engaging with the employees making it an even better place to work.

This unique Head of Colleague Experience role will allow the post holder to make a long- lasting impactful changes and use their knowledge and experience to:

  • Connect and listen carefully to colleagues about their current experience of the culture and how they would like to see it develop and grow.
  • Define a vision for the culture and engagement and create and oversee implementation of a strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop a consistent framework for internal communications.
  • Introduce and embed the values and provide the tools to nurture a culture.
  • Work with their external consultants to develop and embed their L&D work.

This 6-9-month FTC role paying £55,000 pro rata, will allow someone to work from the charity's West London office and from home part of the time.

The successful candidate will have the experience, expertise, and resilience to shape and establish this new function in a small, highly ambitious and therefore very busy charity. You will have the passion and drive to achieve the objectives in a fairly short time frame, but the self-awareness and emotional intelligence to achieve this in consultation and collaboration with the wider team.
