TPP have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Clinical Development.  This is a newly created role working with a neuromuscular disorders charity.


The successful applicant will be a senior member of the Campaigns and Information Team and will focus on driving the charities clinical development strategy to ensure maximum impact and will also work collaboratively with the relevant bodies to develop clinical trials capacity for neuromuscular conditions.


There will be 5 key areas of focus:


  • Developing the clinical research evidence base 

  • Leading our work to develop clinical trial infrastructure in the UK and boosting trial capacity at the leading Muscle Centres; in partnership with the NIHR;

  • Working with our communications team to promote best practice in professional journals;

  • Working with people with muscle-wasting conditions to ensure improved access to multi-disciplinary clinical care wherever they live in the UK;

  • Working with Royal Colleges and professional bodies to support professional development, clinical centres and neuromuscular clinical networks; as well as potential research networks

    Key Criteria

  • Experience of  leading development projects and other work involving Healthcare professionals

  • Experience in service development and implementation

  • Experience of working with researchers

  • Have an understanding of clinical research

  • Excellent communication skills including simplification of medical terminology

  • Leadership skills


This role is full time and permanent working 35 hours per week, predominantly based in London with some UK travel.
