TPP Recruitment are excited to be working with a children and young people's charity who exist to prevent abuse and violence in the lives of young people through engaging them in creative arts and education projects.

The charity is now looking to recruit a Head of Children & Young People's Programmes on a maternity cover contract for 6 to 9 months either full time or 4 days per week. The organisation is based in London but they are working remotely at the moment and can consider applicants based anywhere in the UK.

As the Head of Children & Young People's Programmes, you'll oversee all projects delivered in the department through line managing 4 Programme Managers, liaising with funders, ensuring grant requirements are met and contributing to the strategic planning and growth of the charity.

The Children & Young People's programmes include a relationships programme delivered in all London boroughs and 4 regions in England, a new initiative based on a website toolkit for schools, a specialist programme for more vulnerable young people and the use of technology in the form of an online game and resources for neuro-diverse young people.

To be considered for the role, you will be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the following:
-leading and developing programmes or projects in education or arts settings
-monitoring and evaluating of programmes to inform future planning and delivery
-people management and a strong ability to motivate a team
-strong relationship and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate with diplomacy and tact.
-knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people
-budget management experience
-experience or knowledge of the Domestic Violence sector and organisations would be an asset.
