Are you an innovative and dynamic manager?
You will lead the service, building strong relationships by working collaboratively with other managers, ensuring consistency of practice across the service and providing assurance that quality standards, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements are consistently met or exceeded. Your leadership will ensure the service can flourish and continue to be successful
As part of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic development. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to positively promote the service, meeting with Regional Adoption Agency and Local Authority commissioners and representatives.
You will have budgetary responsibility for the service, ensuring that income meets expenditure and prepare accurate plans and costings for therapeutic interventions.

You will have experience of managing services, managing staff teams, developing, and building relationships at all levels. Ideally you will have current knowledge and skills in the field of adoption and permanency and family work, although our client would be interested to hear from individuals who have proven management experience in a social care, or therapeutic work and a genuine interest in adoption and permanency.
You will have strong verbal and written communications skills, experience of delivering in person and virtual support and a relevant qualification in social work, psychology, psychotherapy, health, or education.
Some of the key tasks will include:
To co-ordinate and monitor a consultation and therapeutic service for adoptive/permanent placement families in the charities London offices according to Adoption Support Assessment regulations and strategic plan.
To creatively develop the Child and Family Service considering existing and new theories.
To work with the Practice Manager of the team to deliver all aspects of the service.
To take a lead role in service delivery for families, including one-off consultations as well as comprehensive family assessments and intensive therapeutic parent- and family work.
To liaise with Local Authority and Regional Adoption Agency managers and commissioners, or other referrers about the needs and service provision for individual cases.
To take overall responsibility for the monitoring of financial agreements and funding bodies/ individuals about specific pieces of therapeutic work.
To be responsible for ensuring that psycho-diagnostic testing of children and parents is carried out as required, either directly or through use of a sessional psychologist.
To monitor case recording of the Child & Family team, ensuring that information is accurately recorded and kept securely.
