The TPP Fundraising and Development team are working with a prestigious youth charity, who are recruiting to newly created Head of Business Development (Sponsorship and Commercial) role. You will be joining a high performing team that has recently expanded after a major restructure, at a point where the organisation is embarking on an ambitious 5-year strategy with significant plans for further growth.

The role will require you to:

* Lead the development of propositions and pipeline of new business opportunity to secure increased income from corporations, their employees and their customers - primarily from sponsorship and commercial opportunities

* Lead the strategy for sponsorship and commercial income growth for corporate partners across the UK

* Serve as the key link to the charity's high-profile trading board

* Play an integral role in a multi-functional team in driving innovation and continued growth

The successful applicant will possess the following:

* Experience in raising significant funds via personally created new business activity within a charity, sales or marketing environment

* Experience of creating long-term partnerships with business that generate income and wider value

* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with contacts in the business sector at all levels

* An ability to secure major commercial and charity income of £500k+ in multi-year value through; corporate donations, sponsorship, commercial activities, events, charity of the year and employee fundraising

* Creativity in developing solutions for corporate objectives through partnership with the charity

* Confident negotiation skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and close deals and the ability to influence new prospects and manage expectations

* Passion, dedication and commitment to support the charity's beneficiary group
