TPP is proud to be recruiting for an educational membership body for Head of Development, to specialise in the funding of projects. The role is on a 12-month FTC, paying £60k if London based, or £52k if based in the regions. The role is open to remote working.

You will be working for a leading and well-established organisation which represents further education institutions. The organisation provides lots of different services and support to FE bodies which include recruitment, training, events, sponsorship and sporting initiatives.

The main purpose of this role is to develop the project team strategy and generate income from grants/bids to fund a large variety of projects. Key funders may include DfE, Sport England and the British Council. You will develop new and maintain existing strategic partnerships with external funders and stakeholders with a view to influence a pipeline of future project opportunities. You will also have one direct report, a Business Development Officer, who you will lead and inspire. Finally, you will play a small part in setting up the projects, working in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have excellent bid writing skills/experience with a strong income track record. You will possess excellent project management and budgeting skills, along with sound interpersonal skills to lead a team and build on external relationships. Finally, you will have an interest in Further Education.
