Our client is a smaller subset of a larger organization that is in an exciting period of growth and change, who also benefits from a warm, sociable, team-oriented working culture.

Their team is expanding to recruit a Head of Awards and Assurance Services. You will be responsible for taking charge of this part of the organization and growing its business by increasing sales. However, this will not be in isolation from the rest of the organization, as theirs is a very collaborative approach. Their aim is to charge a fair rate for a good service, so those with a public service ethos will feel at home here.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director and as a part of the larger senior management team, you will look after and drive the strategy of operational delivery. There are four members of staff reporting directly to you, two of which are very experienced at the AO and two others who have joined in the last one to two years.

A large part of the Head of Awards and Assurance Services role will also be meeting with key external stakeholders, such as key clients and regulatory bodies. The senior management team rotates its meetings in three locations around England, so traveling two to three days per week is expected.

This Head of Awards and Assurance Services role will suit those who ideally have experience in or a solid understanding of awarding organisations, who has dealt with strategic development and operational delivery at a senior level. You will be also be a role model for their values.
