Head of Advice and Support Services - Supported Housing

Our Client is a charity that supports homeless people or those at risk of homelessness, they work with 1300 homeless and vulnerably housed people a year in East London offering them an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and learning and training programmes to help create a safe and sustainable life away from the streets and they have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Head of Advice and Support Services.

As the Head of Advice and Support Services you will lead and strategically develop the charities Advice and Support Services and have line management of 4 and will have responsibility for:

  • Welcome Area and Resource Centre
  • Advice and Support Team
  • Reset Outreach & Referral
  • Routes to Roots
  • Recovery and Training Services

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the service meets the need of it clients based on a co-production approach
  • Work towards KPIs
  • Safeguarding
  • Budgetary Control
  • Providing strong, effective and collaborative leadership to a diverse team

Key knowledge / experience

  • Previous experience of leading a complex service
  • Understanding of supported housing and social care
  • Understanding of the causes of homelessness
  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders including Local Authorities
