BirdLife International is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work on a voluntary basis with our fundraising team, based at our headquarters at the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge, England.
The successful applicant will play an important role in part in a wide range of tasks from creating mail merges to phoning supporters and handling donations.
Typical tasks might include:
- Offering general administrative support
- Making telephone calls to businesses, volunteers and supporters
- Helping with organisation of fundraising events, particularly the Rare Bird Club annual lunch and dinner
- Handling donations
- Researching fundraising opportunities
- Updating fundraising database
What we are looking for
You will need you have good interpersonal, diplomacy, communication and teamwork skills, although full training can be given for any necessary technical requirements.
Enthusiasm, organisational skills, basic computer skills in all Microsoft packages and the ability to work independently would also be key skill requirements for this role.
The successful candidate will report to the Fundraising Manager and work closely with members of the fundraising team.

The duration and working hours for this voluntary position are flexible and open to discussion. Ideally, the successful candidate would be available 2-3 days per week for a 3-6 month period.
