TPP is currently working with a family charity which offers advice and support to families which face difficult circumstances. Often these families come from poor socioeconomic backgrounds and in desperate need of support. Most recently the charity has enjoyed media attention for the work they do in The Guardian, The Times and BBC News. The charity is currently looking for a Fundraising Manager specialising in, but not limited to, Trusts and Foundations. Other areas include events and areas where the successful candidate sees the potential for income generation.
You will be responsible for generating funds from grant making trusts, foundations and lottery sources to agreed income targets. Current funders include Big Lottery Fund, People's Postcode Lottery and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. You will also aim to diversify funding in other less well-established areas such as challenge events (London Marathon and Royal Parks Half Marathon). Currently the charity has a few participants in each event, but they very much want to grow this.
To be successful in this role, you have a good track record in securing significant income from trusts and foundations. You will have excellent writing skills and will be able to communicate passionately about the cause to a wide range of different audiences. You will be ambitious and actively want to make the role your own by seeking new means/sources of fundraising.
The successful candidate will benefit from a £35k salary, 30 days annual leave and 3% pension contribution. Please note this role might be considered on a part time basis of 28 hours a week pro rata
