A Department for Education initiative, providing an individual learning and training experience while enhancing employability skills, are currently recruiting for a Maths Tutor to teach up to GCSE level to 16-18year olds.
This role is for 25 hours a week, to start as soon as possible ongoing. The role consists of teaching 16-18 year old pupils who have struggled with English and Maths whilst in secondary education, and may also include some teaching of BTEC Work Skills.
Main duties for the Maths Tutor will include:
Teaching a group of 16-18year olds
Planning, delivering and monitoring numeracy skills
Engaging students in fun and exciting lessons that will hold their attention as well as develop their knowledge
Build strong lines of communication between students, parents and other external agencies.
Essential criteria for the Maths Tutor:
Must hold a teaching qualification- NQTs are welcome apply
Experience teaching numeracy and literacy
Be able to differentiate needs according abilities.
Imaginative planning and teaching style.
Must be willing to undertake a DBS check or hold a current DBS
