A brand new, state of the art Harley Street clinic is seeking a talented and driven Financial Controller with experience in the private healthcare sector for a permanent role. The successful candidate will join in time for their opening in October, and will be working in a busy, professional environment.
The role will involve:
-Provide and interpret financial information.
-Contribute to the preparation of the pricing strategy, management cost reports, budget financial forecasts and report variances.
-Provide financial analyses and cost comparators from alternative suppliers as needed, also for capital investments and contract negotiations.
-Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the organisation’s goals and objectives.
-Develop and oversee the internet control system, policies and procedures.
-Management of outsourced functions
-Ensure that Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable are processed in a timely manner.
-Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
-Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.
-Maintain the Fixed Assets register
-Supporting month end and year end close process.
-Prior and recent experience in a similar role in a private health clinic is essential
-Advanced Excel skills – report writing, macros etc
-An understanding of CQC reporting
-Ideally experience in a ‘start-up’ environment
-Broad Financial Control background covering reconciliations and transactions, management accounting and reporting, developing systems and year-end accounting.
-Qualified Accountant preferred but not essential
