Finance Manager - Research and Enterprise

A well-respected Higher Education Institution is looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a six month fixed term contract but would also consider candidates on a shorter contract. You will sit in the Research and Enterprise Office and have responsibility for developing and establishing the effective operation of the post-award office, as well as providing strategic and administrative management of the School's post-award research and enterprise functions. As well as managing a team of two, you will have responsibility for the post-award management of all research and enterprise projects and to manage a case load of projects.

In order to make a success of this role, you must have previous experience of post-award research management in a University or Research Organisation, as well as the ability to understand and communicate financial data in leyman terms. Experience of working with a range of funders is important, particularly RCUK, the European Commission, government departments and experience of managing complex multi-partner projects. You should be familiar with the Je-S System and experience of managing a heavy workload and working to competing deadlines with a minimum of supervision and ability to work to a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
