A mid-sized Children’s Charity based in central London is seeking an experienced and fully-qualified charity Finance Manager. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time of growth and change.
The role will involve:
-Leading the finance team of 3 Accountants and Assistants
-Leading the finance team through a period of change - recruiting new staff, overseeing a transition to a new accounting system and leading on a new strategy for the department
-Lead on Year-end procedures and submission of annual accounts + annual audit
-Financial accounting duties: balance sheet reconciliations and cash balances/forecasts
-Oversee production of monthly management accounts
-Assist Finance Director with annual budgets
-Supervise and verify payroll, and liaise with HMRC
-Quarterly partial exemption VAT calculations
-Fully-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
-Deep knowledge of charity SORP and charity statutory accounting
-Demonstrable experience in managing and motivating a team
-Experience running internal payroll
-Experience with management accounting
-Advanced communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with internal stakeholders
