This is a permanent job opportunity working for a growing charity based in the City of London. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of the wider finance team the successful Finance & Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing all monthly payroll changes and as well as supporting the wider finance team.

The day to day duties of the Finance & Payroll Officer will include;

  • Maintaining monthly payroll changes and updating the outsource payroll providers with relevant changes
  • Completing manual calculations of all relevant payroll changes including making manual corrections to pay amounts
  • Completing monthly returns to pension providers
  • Be the main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll matters
  • Maintain purchase & sales ledger
  • Complete VAT returns
  • Assist with closing month end and producing monthly management accounts
  • Reconciliation of control accounts
  • Posting journals, accruals & prepayments
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliation

This is an ideal role for candidate with a detailed knowledge of payroll and accounts. Applicants must be able to complete manual calculations of payroll and be able to demonstrate an up to date knowledge of payroll legislations. Applicants should ideally be qualified or be studying towards relevant accounting qualifications.
