A very well-known and longstanding UK charity focusing on the support of older people is seeking a skilled Finance Analyst for a fixed term role for 12-18 months.
Advanced Excel is required for this role- experience in utilising macros and VBA scripts and extensive experience in Excel reporting and modelling is required.
This role will ensure that the organisation has full insight into the financial opportunities and challenges in implementing its strategy. Day to day, managers will have confidence in managing and delivering their financial objectives and are able to provide clear information to funders. The charity has co-ordinated approach to KPI reporting and there is ongoing development of impactful KPIs.
The role will involve:
-Production and development of insightful monthly financial reporting, including income, expenditure, balance sheet and cashflow
-Build and maintain financial models required in support of the monthly management accounts, budget setting and reforecast and other reporting obligations
-Support the Head of Finance through managing the annual budget and reforecasting timetables
-Co-ordinate the development and reporting of the organisation's KPI reporting framework to agreed deadlines
-Support the charity's divisions and budget holders by creating, producing and reviewing insightful financial reports and analysis
-Generate future orientated reports, analysis and insight to enable the organisation to understand the opportunities and challenges of trends and possibilities and enable data-led decisions to be made on a timely basis
-Assist operating mangers in the production of business cases to attract internal or external funding
-Work with analysts to develop and maintain service delivery costing models and to help ensure we maximise our value for money
-Day to day management of the accounting system structures and interfaces to other systems and modelling software
-Fully qualified accountant essential (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
-Advanced Excel is required for this role- experience in utilising macros and VBA scripts and extensive experience in Excel reporting and modelling is required.
-Evidence of developing and providing insightful, timely financial analysis including: management accounting, KPIs, costing for bids and tenders
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communications skills
-Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and [preferably SUN] systems applications, use of data warehousing and reporting tools
-Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, charity finance and information analysis
