A large national Children’s Charity based in the East London/Essex borders is seeking an experience financial administrator to undertake a highly varied role. The role is focused on a project engaging young adults and care service leaders in the London Borough of Redbridge & Dagenham.
The role will involve:
-Collating and providing financial summaries and analysis for the service manager and finance department
-Support Service Manager in ensuring financial targets are monitored, reported against and variances addressed
-Assisting with annual budgeting
-Month-end and year-end journal entries
-Accruals and prepayments
-Updating financial records
-Liaising with young adults on their financial records
-Ad-hoc facilities and office administration including liaising with landlords, reception and health & safety duties
-Have experience in a similar hybrid finance and administration role
-Have experience in a role involving financial transactions – ledgers, reconciliations, journal entries etc.
-Experience preparing financial budgets
-Strong skills in Excel, Sage/Sun or similar accounting packages
-Exposure to a facilities or premises management environment
-An interest in the charity sector
-A bookkeeping or AAT qualification is desirable but not required
