Would you be interested in working on a temporary basis as a Facilities Manager for a leading charity based in London.

This is a 35 hour per week role for 4-6 weeks initially. Interviews are held on Monday June 20, 2016 and you should be available to start on Thursday for a handover.

Some of your duties are
• Coordinate all insurance paperwork and policies across the organisation
• Carry out minor repairs, both internal and external, advising on condition and order works where agreed
• Monitor and ensure maintenance of the premises heating and boiler machinery
• Manage specifications for external contractors, obtain estimates, raise orders, direct works and certify invoices for payment
• Manage and oversee our building alarm systems and security, alterations and additions to systems, obtaining estimates and checking works where required
• Manage the office premises portfolio, including external contractors, to ensure they are properly maintained in accordance with legal and other requirements
• Oversee the receipt of all goods and supplies delivered to the premises and correctly distribute and store goods
• Manage the services delivered by the team including reception, facilities, post, couriers, space planning etc ensuring that they are delivered to a high standard and consistent with Health & Safety requirements
• Reception cover when required

You will have
• Experience in negotiating contracts and managing contractors
• Experience of developing and implementing risk management and insurance
• Hold a recognised H&S qualification for example NEBOSH or IOSH or equivalent and have a current knowledge of applicable legislation and best practice
• Willing to get involved with hands-on work
• Hold a full and valid driving licence
• Able to supervise and motivate a team to deliver excellent customer service
• Confident and comfortable dealing with all levels of staff and external suppliers etc to achieve results
• You will be naturally well organised with the ability to work independently, using your initiative to provide solutions
• Good MS Office skills including Word and Excel
