I am working with a well-known and reputable Mental Health charity who are looking to recruit an External Relations Associate to join their friendly and collaborative team on a temporary basis for a period of approximately 3 months.

Please note: This role can also be worked on a fixed-term contract.

Reporting in to the External Relations Manager, this is a key role to ensure that the organisation is a transformational initiative, with a high-impact brand and a best-in-class communications and fund-raising operation.

Key Duties:

  • Undertake communications strategy work including stakeholder mapping, audience analysis and evolving brand guidelines
  • Contribute to building their communications infrastructure, for example setting up or developing channels like a website and social media presence
  • Generate third-party media coverage, including through dealing with media enquiries, building relationships with journalists and developing and placing stories
  • Evaluate communications and media activities, assessing and demonstrating impact

This role is a fantastic opportunity for candidate who have previous media experience (placing stories in national journals & publications), public affairs as well as dealing with public relations. If you have significant experience of communications/fund-raising work, including managing/leading communications/fund-raising project as well as experience of communications strategy/planning then this could be an ideal role for you.
