Our client, a small but well-established grant making charity which has been established for over 50 years in London has an exciting opportunity for a Evidence and Impact Officer. This role is both practical and strategic, delivering a factual and analytical base for decision-making in their grant-making, influencing and communications. This is a new post created to consolidate their successful creation of an M&E programme and intended to take it further by enhancing the articulation of their impact.

The key responsibilities for this Evidence and Impact Officer role:

Assess and enhance external impact as a grant-making organisation
Gather and communicate evidence of impact, and research engagement with key audiences
Lead and champion monitoring&evaluation across the organisation
Develop M&E findings into communicable evidence of impact
Map and profile stakeholders, opinion-formers, partners and funders in target sectors, to guide outreach
Explore topical issues and new sectors for grant-making

The essential criteria for this Evidence and Impact Officer role:

A strong practical understanding of Monitoring&Evaluation
Sound analytical skills to interpret findings and prepare recommendations
Ability to work autonomously and under own initiative
The ability to spot interesting findings and turn them into compelling collateral
Good written English and the ability to write persuasively for a range of audiences
Some experience of audience and stakeholder mapping
Enthusiasm for meeting Fellows from all backgrounds and sectors
