A leading independent think-tank on international development based on the south bank is seeking an experienced Events Manager to work a 1 year fixed term contract. The right candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working closely within a communications team or working closely within a communications directorate.
Main duties for the Events Manager:
Raise the impact and reach of programme events.
Use events platforms to showcase organisation's research and ideas.
Lead delivery of a high-level events portfolio.
Direct events strategy and provide oversight on meeting objectives.
Oversee quality of events in line with guidelines on style, brand and diversity.
Responsible for events pages and digital promotion.
Lead on monthly, quarterly and annual budget planning.
Essential criteria for the Events Manager:
Substantial experience in a comparable senior events post.
Proven track record of delivering high-level events at a national and international level.
Significant communications experience and line management.
Skilled in budget and project management.
Practical website skills and good knowledge of communications through web-based tools.
