Superb opportunity to join a top charity brand as Events Fundraising Manager. This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover for maternity leave and will be critical to delivering planning, development, marketing and delivery of the fundraising events programme within this charity. In particular, the role will hold responsibility for developing and delivering the event strategy for the 500+ runner London Marathon team.
Managing a small team of staff (2 reports), you will hold responsibility for the recruitment, engagement and stewardship of supporters - ensuring that charity is able to maximise the incredible fundraising opportunity that the London Marathon presents. In addition, you will lead on work to deliver new projects, including facebook fundraisers and other community projects, always looking for new opportunities in the sector.
With a proven track record in managing a programme of challenge events, specifically you will bring a detailed knowledge of the London Marathon, in addition to a good understanding of third party fundraising events. You will have experience in delivering complex and effective donor care programmes, and experience of developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies for fundraising challenge events. You will also have knowledge of facebook fundraisers, and ideally (not essential) experience of line management.
