I am working exclusively with a medical membership organisation who were founded over a 100 years ago on an important Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Specialist role. The position is for 6 months starting in September 2020. The day rate for the role is £205 basic per day and the post holder will be able to work from home and along with being office based.

The organisation has over 50,000 members and their London office are located close to Holborn. This exciting job will help the organisation manage and deliver their EDI strategy, ensuring best practice is carried out at all times. You will work closely with the Leadership Team and the CEO, linking the internal and external members together to make a clear EDI strategy using milestones, targets and objectives.

The key areas of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist role are to manage the delivery, identify and deal with any issues that arise during the implementation of the EDI strategy. The post holder will need to be able to adapt when required and be confident at building relationships across the organisation. You will work closely with the communications team to ensure everyone is engaged with the project along with using the EDI data to show commitment and progression. You will also need to provide the Leadership Team and CEO with regular updates on how the project is progressing.

To be a success in this exciting position you must be an EDI expert with a track record of designing and implementing an EDI strategy for small and medium sized organisations. If you have experience of working in the non-profit sector that would also be beneficial for this role. You must be able to start in September 2020 and able to commit to the six- month project. Finally, you must be proficient on MS Office packages (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
