Our client, a leading homelessness charity, is seeking a Engagement Support Assistant to join their ever growing team in this new role. It will be based out of South Wimbledon with frequent travelling across London and be on a part time basis for about 3 days a week. You will be supporting service managers on various initiatives in partnership with service users/customers.

The key responsibilities for this role:

Increase customer involvement throughout the organisation through engagement
Support and maintain an overview of local activities/events
Support the recruitment, training and development of various volunteers plus stakeholders
Schedule and support the running of the regular meetings
Develop creative ways to increase customer involvement
Support volunteer co-ordinators with the quarterly customer newsletter
Organise, arrange and support in the delivery of customer training, including supporting services to send delegates

Essential criteria for this role:

Experience of creating projects or initiatives with volunteers
Some previous involvement with publicity, newsletters or social media engagement
Demonstrable ability of coordinating events, organising and facilitating meetings
Knowledge of the issues and barriers facing homeless people
Ability to inspire, enthuse and motivate people
Excellent communication skills, including creative ways of communicating with vulnerable people
Proven ability prioritise load to ensure work is delivered effectively and to deadline
