About the job

An award-winning cancer charity dedicated to cancer research, awareness, and support is hiring for an Engagement Programme Manager to manage the charity's volunteer-led service raising awareness of cancer in workplaces and other organisations, both online and face-to-face across the UK.

As the Engagement Programme Manager, you will line manage a team of Engagement Coordinators and will be an experienced people and operational manager. You will enable volunteers to engage at a level that is right for them, proactively identify, develop and resource volunteer engagement opportunities, account manage awareness partnerships with non-corporate organisations, and build great relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This role will require some travel across the UK, however outside of travelling, you will have the flexibility or working remotely and from the London Bridge office.

You will have the following skills and experience

  • Successful people manager experience with a strong understanding of volunteer engagement

  • Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, with the understanding that customers are individuals and organisations with differing expectations and needs, and the motivation to strive to enable everyone who wants to, to contribute to the charity's cause.

  • Comfortable with conflict and conflict resolution

  • Confident in influencing others as you work collaboratively across the organisation and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
