A strategic planning events role leading a team, has come available for a 18 month Maternity cover that offers flexible working. You would be joining a unique health related charity as Engagement Manager.
As Engagement Manager, you will lead your team in the recruitment of blood donors for patients in need. You will develop and deliver the long-term strategy and annual plan via recruitment events and activities throughout the UK together with patients and their families; volunteers; community groups; companies and other organisations.
As well as being responsible for raising quality standards specifically for the donor registration process, the Engagement Manager is also responsible for training and journey standardisation. With a view to maximizing opportunities for successful donor matching and reducing points of failure in the current delivery approaches and reporting. Work with internal and external stakeholders to help deliver donor recruitment drives, giving advice and sharing knowledge. Educate the public about the organisation's purpose plus achievements and raise funds for registration. You will be delivering training to volunteers and supporting on regional hubs to deliver activities and drives.
Skills and experience you will have:
* At least 3 years' leadership/management experience in a similar role.
* Experience in planning, promoting and delivering face to face and digital events
* Understanding of quality assurance systems.
* Experience of analysing information and reporting.
* Desirable, but not essential: Previous experience of working with diverse cultural groups, communities and nationalities.
* Confident project management ability
This is a 18 month maternity contract position offering a flexible hybrid working pattern, with 2/3 days of your choice in the office. The office is based in West London.
