TPP Education and Training are proud to be working with EngineeringUK who have been instrumental in highlighting, and working towards the need to double the number of young people entering the engineering professions.
As part of the engineering community, EngineeringUK run The Tomorrow's Engineers programme to support employers' engagement with schools and develop their education programmes and resources so they can build direct efficient and effective relationships with schools in their local are to help meet their future workforce needs.
The role of the Employer Support Manager will be to work with an existing network of employers in the home counties, developing those partnerships further, as well as have the opportunity to build a brand new network of employer contacts in the East Anglia region.
As someone who has experience of business to business development and a proven record of building networks and developing relationships, especially within the STEM sector you will encourage and support employers in engaging with schools in order to drive a change in school engagement culture within the industry.
Using your own knowledge around the Education sector and how to partner industry with schools you will take employers on a journey, helping them develop their approach and show them why it is beneficial to create these links and why they need EngineeringUK to support them in building solid partnerships with their potential future employees.
You will also work with local authorities, education partners, STEM community members and skills boards to establish a knowledge hub where effective practise, resources and information can be shared across the programme on a local and national level.
This is an exciting role for someone who has both industry and schools experience from a commercial STEM background and is willing to travel as part of their role.
