A national youth charity which sets out to connect and inspire people to strengthen themselves and their communities are recruiting for a new role as part of the strategic development of their innovative apprenticeship programme.

The Employer Engagement Team Manager is responsible for leading the Employer Engagement team to successfully secure all of the 12-month work placements for apprentices. In 2017 this will be a minimum of 260 jobs.

The Employer Engagement team is made up of 2 sub teams: Business Development and Account Management. The Business Development team secure 12-month work placements by prospecting for new clients who haven't previously worked with the organisation, and selling programme in a consultative way. The Account Management team work with the portfolio of existing employers, providing excellent customer service to ensure rebooking, upselling and referrals.

The Employer Engagement Team Manager will provide management and strategic direction to both of these teams, whilst working closely with other teams across the programme to ensure the success of the programme- in particular Marketing, to ensure a strong unified brand, and Matching & Contracting, who propose great candidates for interview and facilitate the interview process.

They are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic manager with outstanding people management skills who can lead and motivate a team as well as think strategically and set direction.

Coming from a business development background you will be able to identify market opportunities and have a track record yourself in selling products/services.

You will have an understanding of the apprenticeship sector in order to quickly build credibility amongst your team, stakeholders and employers.
