Are you passionate about supporting the lives of disadvantaged children, young people and families through improving their literacy skills?
A leading Education Charity based in London are recruiting for a Project Manager for one of their literacy based programmes which aims to support the lives of disadvantaged children and families in the most deprived areas of the UK.
Relationship and stakeholder management skills are key as this role involves managing partnership agreements and contracts with local authorities and organisations on a national level. You'll engage with local partners, such as schools, to develop and deliver on a range of community projects aimed at raising the literacy levels specific areas. You'll also be managing funding relationships with corporate funders, trusts and foundations. Experience in this is essential.
You'll line manage a small group of staff who provide local knowledge and expertise remotely in their own communities, by leading on their projects and activities, giving the guidance and strategic plans to meet targets. Your role will also involve developing and delivering training sessions for volunteers, project coordinators and teachers.
This role will be ideal for you if you have project management experience within the charity or education sectors as well as experience of working within schools or with children or young people. It is essential that you have had experience managing relationships including working with funders.
